Welcome to PlayPEN...
PlayPen is Wayzata High School Theatre's ongoing new play development club. We meet throughout the year to help developing theater writers continue to hone their craft and create brand new works of playwriting. We partner with WHS Theatre Drama Club to produce the 24 Hour Play Festival in the winter and a festival of student-produced one acts in the spring, called PlayGrounds.
PlayPen is lead by WHS Theatre students and mentored by staff member Sandra Struthers. The student leaders for the 2022-2023 season are Gabe Borken, Lilly Bradford, and Rish Naik.
For more information about PlayPen, be sure to follow our Instagram account @whs.playpen for updates throughout the year!
PlayPen will meet in conjunction with Drama Club meetings during the 2022-23 season! Drama Club meetings will be held once a month from 3:30-4:30; a full list of meeting dates can be found here!
